Barcelona are firmly in the hunt to land AC Milan target Dani Olmo who was part of their youth academy, a report claims.

Recently, Olmo revealed that he feels his time in Croatia has come to an end, a clear indication that he is ready to take the next step in his career.

A number of Europe’s elite are believed to be keeping an eye on the Spain international, who helped his country’s U21 side win the European Championships over the summer

The Manchester Evening News claimed that both Manchester City and Manchester United are ready to go head to head in January to try and sign the winger, who has eight goals in 20 appearances this season so far. However, Olmo has admirers in Italy too, as Milan and Atalanta are both monitoring the player, who has a value of up to €30million.

According to Mundo Deportivo though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Barcelona have made an official offer to Dinamo Zagreb for the Spanish talent, who came through La Masia academy.

It is now entirely possible that the Rossoneri could find themselves at the centre of an intense auction if they wish to land a player who could become a cornerstone of Elliott Management’s youthful revolution.
